WHAT IS A MEDICINE READING?

A Medicine Reading is a nourishing modality created by Seeress, Deborah Hanekamp, to support healers. There is no difference between healing and being healed. Through being our own healer we set a powerful example of growth for all who we nurture.

  • Medicine Readings are healing for the healers and holding for the holders. You who feel so much, It is time to feel seen.

    What happens in a Medicine Reading varies upon what you are needing that specific day and is crafted from Deborah’s decades of experience as a healer and what is present in your aura in the meeting. It is great to come prepared with your intentions because Medicine Readings are focused on empowerment.

    When you book the Medicine Reading, you will feel a slight shift in energy as the healing has now begun. Distance Energy Healing is transmitted during the entire meeting that can cause chills, tears, coughing, and/or laughter emerging and a lot of alignment occurring as you transform the dissonance of superfluous burdens into the resonance of divine love.

    In full trust of your own wise intuition, Deborah holds a patient space for you to come to things on your own, yet has a nurturing way of calling you out on where your pain might be obstructing your inner vision. This way, you may discover and tend to your own Original Essence and find pathways to empower your voyage in this enchanting, wild life. Deborah’s responsibility is simply as a guide. She believes healers are needed now more than ever and is here to support you on your path with starlight and a chalice of clear quartz water.

    Some healing crises can occur after The Medicine Reading which is why it can be great to have a nice Ritual Bath and wait a few days before making any major life decisions. Check out Deborah’s book for Ritual Bath ideas or ask her to recommend you one.

    Medicine Readings are specifically focused on support for the healers of the world. However, please note that specific advice on the business practices for creating your own healing practice or creating space for healing ceremonies are reserved for her apprentices. Medicine Readings can, however, help you see what might be holding you back from your own growth and the ways that can affect you showing up in the world as you are truly meant to.

    Deborah requests that you run everything she suggests through your own processing system, throw out what doesn’t feel true for you, and work (without attachment) with what does. She wants you to heed your own inner voice and takes no offense and holds no judgment to you seeing things a different way.

    You will feel when it’s time to come back, whether that’s once a month, twice a year, or once in a lifetime... Come back whenever you are needing support in shining your courageous healing light in the world.

HOW DOES A MEDICINE READING WORK?

Medicine Readings generally book out 3-4 months in advance and recommend booking early to hold a spot.

Medicine Readings are NON-REFUNDABLE. We can re-schedule you with a minimum of 48 hours notice.

Medicine Readings are done via AUDIO-ONLY (there is an option to request video at your 48 hour reminder email).

As our offerings have transitioned to the digital space, I have noticed that the energy flows much more freely with our cameras off, perhaps because when you can relax and focus on your own experience, there is much more capacity for healing.

Note: You have the option to RECORD your Medicine Reading at the start of the session. You must click RECORD and record it to your computer.

For the deaf community, we can still schedule the ceremony section of the Medicine Reading and do the aura reading over Zoom text chat or via email. Please reach out to connect@mamamedicine.com so we can create a beautiful supportive experience.
