WHEN YOU DOUBT, YOU LOSE
I messed up.
I didn’t heed the real theme that came through for this month’s medicine in my newsletter.
I softened it. Made it easier to digest. Didn’t want to sit with the realness of what was coming up.
The real theme of this month that came through was Death.
I softened it to Energy Protection, because I didn’t want to give you more heaviness to process during these challenging times and Energy Protection covers some of the same bases.
I became aware of how important it is to share what’s truly coming through on Friday, when yet another young person in my family lost his life to the opioid crisis (which is really the mental health crisis). A part of this crisis is the vicious cycle of avoidantly losing ourselves in the traps of division and distraction that convince us we are alone and nobody cares. The medicine is accountability, responsibility, and unity.
Having this hit so close to home made me understand the fact that I have a great responsibility to share what is truly coming through. That even if it seems too intense to me, I have to respect that someone out there may really need to hear it.
I now vow to trust and hold myself accountable to share what flows through unfiltered.
In a way, I think it all makes sense. Staying true to yourself and the Love that wants to flow through you is an extremely important part of Energy Protection, because that way the Divine doesn’t have to kick your butt to get you back on course.
The irony of it all is that I somehow lost the original words that came through. I can’t find them in any of my files, they’re just... gone. Like the Divine is giving me the most gentle kick in the butt and telling me “when you doubt you lose.”
Here is what I can recall of the original words:
When you’ve lost someone who you love dearly
The pain of change can be so great that you freeze up
So avoidant of change you stay in relationships that have long since run their course.
But Resilient One,
By knowing death you now have a gift.
You know how precious life is.
To truly celebrate it you may be asked to take great risks.
Which will bring you both great reward and failures alike
And wings spread wide you will ride the tides
Knowing it is all medicine.
You have chosen the courage of gratitude.
