IMBOLC RITUAL
In alignment with nature, you might have found yourself in a sort of underworld journey throughout autumn and winter.
Imbolc signifies the first signs of hope. A remembrance that even under all the snow, within the cold hard Earth, the seeds that we’ve planted are germinating. They’re taking a necessary step before they are ready to sprout.
This cross-quarter holiday comes as a reminder: new life is on its way. It isn’t going to be all darkness and underworld journeys forever.
This too shall pass.
This ritual is crafted for you as a supportive and nourishing recipe for tending to the self after your long winter’s rest.
imbolc ritual bath
Ingredients:
Oat milk
Sesame oil
Honey
Pine for smoke cleansing
Rose essential oil
Clear quartz crystals
3 white candles
Ritual:
Fill your bath to the temperature of your choosing.
Turn off all the lights, lighting just your three candles. One for each representation of the triple Goddess Brigid, traditionally associated with Imbolc.
Step into your bath, clearing your aura with the smoke of the pine by wafting it around you with a feather you’ve found.
Pour some of the sesame oil over your head and then dunk your head under the water three times.
Feel into how held you feel surrounded by these nourishing and sweet ingredients.
As you look into the flame of the candles, put your hands on your heart, and say to yourself, “I am Light.”
Trust that you, like the sun, will regain your strength again soon.
Soak in the medicine you’ve created.
