Tomorrow, on April 21st, we’ll usher in our second Mercury Retrograde of 2023.
Mercury Retrograde has gotten a really bad rap for being the crusher of plans and expectations. However, if we try going with the flow of Mercury Retrograde, it can be a very helpful time for illuminating our patterns and cycles that are no longer in our highest interest.
Mercury Retrograde starts kicking our butts when we try to make plans to escape. Instead of trying to push forward, this is an amazing time to let ourselves reflect and look deep within ourselves to reveal hidden answers to our biggest questions.
Use this Root to Reflect Mercury Retrograde Ritual Bath to ground your energy and create space for what you need to see to be revealed to you.
ROOT TO REFLECT RITUAL BATH
INGREDIENTS
A handful of ivy
Dogwood flowers, both pink and white
Mica powder or chips of mica
Epsom salt
5 drops of cedar essential oil
Cedar smoke cleansing bundle
Bentonite clay and water
RITUAL
Place all the ingredients in the bath at a temperature of your choosing.
• Cover yourself in some kind of earth (I recommend a bentonite clay body mask).
• Cleanse your aura and the space using cedar. Put it in a nonflammable tray of some kind and ignite it. Waft the smoke around your body using a feather you have found.
• Step into the bath and dunk your head underwater.
• Close your eyes.
• Envision roots growing from your entire body into the core of the Earth. See yourself connecting to all the roots of all the trees all over the world.
• Breathe deeply and invite in any revelations you are needing at this time.
• Listen.
