WISE INNOCENCE

Wise Ones,

On the land I am now living on, I’ve been meeting all kinds of new friends, from wild bergamot to beautiful fox, and even a few baby animals. (If you missed the big life update, here it is.) Being visited by these beautiful innocent creatures feels like nature’s way of affirming how important it is to learn from the wisdom of innocence.

It seems many of us are experiencing intense transformational energy in the midst of this eclipse season and at the beginning of a Mercury Retrograde period. While the sands shift around us, it feels very important to find ways to slow down, remember, and reflect.

I wonder when we started to see ourselves and one another with so many assumptions and projections? I wonder how we can reclaim the intuitive wisdom of the small child, sharing with less filtering, and seeing with less judgment. One of the most powerful healing practices for remembering is journaling. I have put together some prompts to help you reconnect with how wise and innocent you are.

Prepare

Take three deep breaths with your hand on your heart before you begin. Write without editing and let yourself flow with the intention of honesty. This is a time to tune into yourself. If you experience resistance to sitting quietly with your thoughts, it is often a sign that there are surprising and valuable insights wanting to be expressed.

Prompts

What is a circumstance that has been unclear or uncomfortable for you? Think of someone you know, whether it's a beloved animal, child, or even a fictional character that embodies Wise Innocence. How might they see that situation? Write as if you are experiencing it from their eyes.

What feels unfinished or is calling your attention to be revisited? Imagine yourself as a child, at whatever age first pops into your mind, and write about how you feel about finishing or returning to that particular project or dream. What support could you give yourself in response to what comes up?

What is an assumption someone has made about me that prevented them from truly seeing me? What is an assumption I have made about another that prevents me from truly seeing them? What motivated me to make this assumption?

If you need support and guidance with what you are processing, I just opened up my Medicine Reading books and am giving those of you on this newsletter the first opportunity to reserve. We normally have a 3-4 month waiting period, but at this moment, we have limited availability as soon as June.
